Athlete Stories

The people who train here are the best measure of what we do. Here's what they say, in their own words.

I love the adaptive athlete program at Kutthaus Fitness. Great facility, awesome owners, instructors, and coaches!! I highly recommend this place to anyone looking to get back in the gym after any injury!

What can I say…this place is frkn fantastic. I’ve been in a wheelchair since 2018 and had little movement or exercise from the waist down. With the help of Sean and Liz I’ve regained movement the docs said I wouldn’t. Not only have I gained strength and movement, I’m actually pulling a football sled with weights on it. I highly recommend Kutthaus. A comfortable and very professional atmosphere and that are highly trained in dealing with disabled individuals with limited movement. If you’re looking to regain movement and get strong in the process…you should definitely check out this place.

I have been a member of the adaptive program at Kutthaus for one month, and I cannot say enough good things about this gym / community. The owners are extremely knowledgeable and helpful and are able to make workouts for all experiences and abilities. There is also a kids area where my children can play while I work out! Love it!

…their adaptive athlete program for people with disabilities is outstanding. Liz’s background as a Neuro PT makes her uniquely skilled at supporting people to gain fitness no matter what they are dealing with. It’s also of equal benefit to caregivers in that position, because without this program I wouldn’t take the time for myself to give my own body some love.

My teenage daughter has been working with Liz at Kutthaus Neuro for about a year. The conditions my daughter struggles with intertwine together, which contribute to a lack of confidence due to physical, neurological, and mental instability. Over time, through Liz’s guidance, grace, and good humor, my kiddo has grown in strength, confidence, and resilience. The financial aspect of my daughter’s specialists and appointments made it difficult to find the help she needs in this realm of her care. Kutthaus Neuro as a non-profit makes it affordable for us to make this happen.

The Western Slope of Colorado lacks in services when it comes to specialized support for unique situations, but Kutthaus Neuro is a diamond in the rough. I have seen significant improvement in my child’s strength, perseverance, and ability to cope. When asked what her favorite things about Kutthaus Neuro are, she stated, “Their support and that it helps me with routine.”

Additionally, Liz is an incredible human being and we are so grateful for her. She meets her clients where they are, gently encourages them to reach their potential, is gracious and understanding, adjusts work outs as needed, and is always ready to share you good laugh. Kutthaus Neuro has been a positive difference for our daughter!
